These plants can grow very well without any kind of special care at all; so I have a sneaking admiration for them. Once when I was on Miyoshi san's fundraising team we carefully dug one out and put it in a plant-pot treating it like an expensive plant. It was amazing how big it grew and also at how beautiful it became. These plants can also push their way through several inches of asphalt! Wow.
