| My name is Marie Derricutt (Tesarkova). I was born in the Czech Republic
on the 1st of February, 1951 and lived there until 1999. For me the two
most important things in my life are:
1) that I met True Parents in 1973, it was like being newly re-born. At that time my country was under communism and they persecuted our church and to avoid this I chose a partner in marriage. It was not a very happy time for me but I have two wonderful children, Jan and Pavla. My partner did not support my involvement in the church and the misunderstandings between us grew and we later divorced. But I got a new chance when True Parents matched my husband Andrew and me after we made application to participate in the 360 Million couples Blessing and sent our matching photographs. We both of us are members of the 'Family Federation for World Peace and Unification' and we both of us believe that True Parents - the Reverend Sun Myung Moon and Ms. Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon - are qualified to choose the best partner for us. They have this ability from their special relationship with God. True Father can see our ancestors and they show him, like a rainbow, who is right for whom. 2) My second important thing in my life was Blessing for marriage to my husband Andrew C. Derricutt. It was on the 13th of June, 1998 in Bratislava where we first met each other. It was very wonderful, like a dream, when we got the holy wine ceremony and we pledged to God, True Parents and to each other unity, harmony, joy and love forever in our family. It is now three years since that day and I have never regretted that step in my life. It was very wonderful and great, since that day my life has changed a lot. We got married and my daughter and myself moved to England in Wembley. At first it was quite hard and there were difficulties in starting our family life because we couldn't understand each others' language also for things like shopping and travel. But, having gone through that, we are still happy and grateful for our Blessing and we are happy together. We are grateful to God and True Parents for what they have done for us and for all of mankind. They have established the FFWPU and are inviting people from every country, every race, every religion and every culture for Blessing. I am very surprised that True Parents can't be welcomed in Great Britain; it is very sad that the Home Office want to prohibit them from ever being able to come. True Parents are very valuable for God's Will and for all humankind. We need True Parents like children who can't really live apart from their parents. True Parents had a successful tour in America this year (2001), they were welcomed in 52 States and blessed America. Why is Great Britain so unfriendly? I would ask you who is reading my testimony and enjoyed it to help True Parents to be able to freely enter this country.
