Jesus spoke about this (John12:31) when he was receiving such a tough time from the then 'chosen people' who would not accept him as the Messiah. This was also echoed by Paul (IICor.4:4) in one of his letters. So it should be no surprise that any good person chosen by God to convey His message to people in this world would meet with unjust opposition. For example, when God chose Jonah to convey a message to the leaders of Nineveh he first tried to escape and went the opposite way!

   How does Satan inspire people to do things that they do not want to do? Anyone who has ever suffered from moods or struggled with a head full of conflicting thoughts and feelings already has a clue to the answer. I think that if we knew how much we were influenced by unseen, outside forces we would all be deeply shocked. This is why we should live in harmony with our conscience in our daily life to attract unseen, outside forces to us from the Heavenly side; otherwise, by default, unseen, outside forces from Satan's side are continually surrounding us.

   You should know that Satan is the ruler of this world and the implications of this are that he has control over entertainment, economy, media etc. This is why it has been so difficult for mankind, as a whole, to feel that God exists at all. And why it is so difficult for anyone on the side of Heaven to get the message through. (John 5:39,40) etc.

   After I'd attended my first 2-day seminar giving a brief but complete overview of Rev. Moon's teaching I told my friends at work about it. My office leader then showed me several newspaper articles about the Rev. Moon and the Unification church brainwashing young people and breaking up families, especially from the 'Daily Mail'. I remember thinking at the time that there must have been some mistake and they'd got it mixed up with another group. I thought that these kinds of reports would be naturally silenced once people found out for themselves. Now almost 25 years on, I realise that things don't work like that. Most people are tired, afraid or haven't the time to investigate something like this. For example, my brother showed me a report of someone who, in a state of trance, experienced what it was like to be alive at the time of Jesus. This person accurately described their room and the surroundings and that he knew of a meeting in the next village where the great man Jesus was going to speak. This person declined to attend however because he knew that if he did so his life would be irrevocably disturbed. Well, I can certainly identify with that!

   A lot of people are hoping that the Reverend and Mrs. Moon will either be exposed as charlatans or fade away with time. But what if they really are who they say they are; the True Parents of mankind? I feel that most people who criticise the Rev. and Mrs. Moon have not sufficiently considered this possibility.

   I think that if it were easy to dislodge the 'ruler of this world' then it would have been done already a long time ago. It is also true that many of the people God has sent to remove our terrible ignorance have mostly been ignored at best and persecuted to death at worst. It must, therefore, require some special, extraordinary attitude on our part to correctly identify, believe in and follow the one whom God has chosen to lead us out of the realm of the 'fall of man' to the status of God's children; the object of His love.
